I think that what you said was actually very logical. However, what about this? suppose you were to create a killer title? I mean, I don't want to tell you how to run your blog, but what if you added a headline that grabbed folk's attention? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is a little vanilla. You could glance at Yahoo's home page and note how they write post headlines to grab viewers to open the links. You might try adding a video or a picture or two to get readers excited about everything've got to say. In my opinion, it would bring your posts a little livelier.
